Surface heating: under tile and under carpet
We offer a complete design and installation service for this type of heating and also sell DIY product kits for the home handy-person or builder.
The heating element is installed on top of the existing sub-floor and the element is hand laid and covered with a screed finish, which is then suitable for tiling or most other flooring products.
In-concrete electric storage heating
This underfloor heating system is installed within the concrete floor slab, rather than on top of it. Therefore the entire slab is heated and becomes a heat storage device, enabling the use of cheaper night rate power. The stored heat can then be gently released during the day.
In-concrete electric heating has a low initial outlay. It should be considered for areas where constant heat is required.
Both these floor heating options are operated with a programmable control with a floor sensing probe.
These controls feature digital read-outs of current and set temperatures and the floor probe senses accurate floor temperature. The timer function allows operating times to be set to optimise operation. The control is battery operated to maintain the programme times. The timer function can be over-ridden if required without affecting the programme.
